FAQ

Permanent Makeup

What is Permanent Make up?

Permanent make up is applied to the eyebrows, lash line or lips and ensures that you will always look your best, even without traditional make up.

It is similar to tattooing, but the specially designed pigments are implanted slightly shallower into the skin, using a machine. The pigments used are hypoallergenic.

Can I have permanent makeup whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, or whilst pregnant or breastfeeding

Can I have permanent makeup if I have had Botox/Filler injections

Yes. It is fine to have your eyebrows done after Botox injections as long as it has been at least 2 weeks so Botox/Filler has settle. However, it is recommend having permanent makeup done before Botox/filler if possible

Will it hurt?

Everyone’s pain threshold is different but nobody ever struggles to have the treatments as numbing agents are used throughout.

How long will it last?

This varies from client to client as skin types and life styles play a major part in how well the pigment holds and how long it lasts before a top up is required.

Depending on skin type and area treated, permanent make up can last for at least 18 months to 2 years, with lip treatments often lasting even longer. However top up treatments are recommended between 12-15 months after their initial visit for a colour boost to keep your enhancement looking pristine.

A complementary ‘top up’ or perfection appointment (for 4-8 weeks after healing) is included in the initial treatment price.

Is it the same as a tattoo?

Permanent Makeup is a tattoo, although pigments are used instead of ink. As a result, the body can break down the pigment, which is why over time it begins to fade and shrink

The scabs have started to come away and looks like no colour underneath, is this normal?

Yes. It is normal to look like no colour has been left underneath scabs when they first come away. Pigment will start to show through stronger over the next few weeks leading up to the top up. This is why we have to wait at least 4 weeks before second procedure

What will happen at my first appointment?

We will discuss everything that you need to know about the
procedure.

You will have previously had a patch test for all of the
products that will be used during the procedure and we will discuss the outcome
of this. We will then go through your medical history, discuss allergies and
concerns and talk about your expectations and preferences.

Depending on the area to be treated I will measure and draw
guidelines on the skin to ensure that everything is even, symmetrical and shaped
to flatter your face. We will only proceed once you have confirmed that you are
completely happy.

Before and during the procedure numbing (anaesthetic) cream
is used, to make to treatment comfortable.

After treatment you will be given aftercare advice and a
free aftercare pack.

Teeth Whitening

What is Teeth Whitening?

Teeth whitening can be a very effective way of lightening the natural colour of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface (enamel). It will lighten the existing shade of your teeth by up to 8 shades.

Who can have teeth whitening?

Anyone who is currently suffering from gum disease. It is essential that if you have any signs of gum disease you should be seen by your dentist before attending any teeth whitening appointments.

We also do not recommend that pregnant women do not have their teeth whitened.

How long does the appointment take?

Appointments only take 45 minutes carried out over three 15 minute sessions using the Extreme Whitening Diamond Laser

I want a natural looking smile, is teeth whitening for me?

The finished shade of your teeth cannot be predicted, however throughout the appointment the shade change of your teeth can be monitored and once the desired shade has been achieved the process may be stopped.

We find that the best and longest lasting results will always be with the full 45 minutes under the light.

I have Crons/Caps/Fillers/Veneers, can I have teeth whitening?

Yes you can! The teeth whitening procedure will restore crowns, caps, fillings or veneers to their original colour and will not cause any damage. Please note that the process will not whiten them more than their original colour.

How long will the results last?

For most people, we find that the results are long-lasting. It’s important to remember that exposure to heavily staining food and drinks such as coffee, red wine and curry as well as tobacco will darken teeth.

Your teeth should stay noticeably whiter for a considerable amount of time after having a laser teeth whitening appointment. We also offer an excellent aftercare range to help you keep your perfect white smile!

Is teeth whitening painful?

This is the question that concerns most people. The majority of people find the process completely painless, however, a small percentage of people experience temporary sensitivity to hot or cold for 24 – 48 hours following their appointment.
